At DeadFITS, we stand behind the quality and authenticity of every vintage item we sell. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds are issued.
Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- The item you received was significantly misrepresented in our listing description or photos
- The item arrived damaged during shipping (with photographic evidence)
- The item is materially different from what was described
- You contact us within 14 days of delivery
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind or buyer's remorse
- Minor variations in color due to photography or screen display differences
- Normal vintage wear and aging that was disclosed in the item description
- Damage caused after delivery due to mishandling or improper care
- Requests made more than 14 days after delivery
- Items returned without prior authorization
Refund Process
Step 1: Contact Us
Email us within 14 days of receiving your item with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the item and any issues
- Detailed explanation of why you're requesting a refund
Step 2: Review & Authorization
We'll review your request within 2-3 business days. If approved, we'll provide return authorization and shipping instructions.
Step 3: Return the Item
Ship the item back to us in its original condition and packaging using a trackable shipping method. You're responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a damaged item.
Step 4: Inspection
Once we receive the returned item, we'll inspect it to verify the condition matches the return reason.
Step 5: Refund Issued
If approved, your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method. Please note that depending on your financial institution, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account.
Partial Refunds
In some cases, we may offer a partial refund as an alternative to a full return. This might apply when:
- Minor condition issues can be resolved with a price adjustment
- You wish to keep the item despite a small discrepancy
Partial refunds are offered at our discretion and must be mutually agreed upon.
Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged:
- Do not discard the packaging
- Take photos of the damage and packaging immediately
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- We'll work with you to file a shipping claim if necessary
For damaged items, we'll offer a full refund or replacement (if available) and cover return shipping costs.
Shipping Costs
Original Shipping: Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a damaged item.
Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs except when the return is due to our error, damage during shipping, or misrepresentation.
International Orders
For international returns:
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any customs fees
- Customs duties and taxes paid on the original order are non-refundable
- We recommend using a trackable shipping method with insurance
Refund Method
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot issue refunds to different payment methods or accounts.
Exchanges
Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of our vintage inventory, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different item, please return your original purchase for a refund and place a new order for the item you prefer.
