Authentic 1920s Art Deco Beaded Purse
Made in Czechoslovakia
A beautiful example of interwar Czech beadwork, dating to the 1920s–early 1930s. This petite evening purse features dense hand-applied micro glass seed beads in a classic Art Deco floral motif of soft pink, pale blue, taupe, and brown against a creamy ground.
The interior retains its original lining and woven label reading:

A wonderful period detail that firmly dates the piece to the early 20th century export era.

These small beaded bags were carried to dances, theaters, and evening events during the Jazz Age and remain highly collectible today

Czechoslovakia was a world leader in fine glass bead production during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During the 1920s, Czech beaded handbags were exported widely to Europe and the United States and became fashionable accessories during the Art Deco period.
Pieces retaining original country labels are increasingly sought after by collectors.
